Extract text from digital PDF

Extract selectable text from PDF pages without uploading the document. Copy the result or download TXT; scanned pages require OCR, which is not included.

Local PDF: 5 MiB, 50 pages. Output up to 20 MiB. Editing may invalidate digital signatures. Encryption is not supported.

Digital text only, no OCR. Column/table order and spacing may vary. Maximum 500,000 characters.

What this tool does

Recover digital content for reference or text reuse. A scan may have no text; columns and tables may not retain visual reading order.

How to use it

  1. Load a digital PDF and select pages.
  2. Convert and review line breaks and characters.
  3. Copy or download TXT; if no text appears, check whether the source was a scan.

Verifiable example

Input
Two-page PDF with Hello and Goodbye; select 2.
Expected result
TXT contains Goodbye and excludes page one.

Limitations to review

  • PDF 5 MiB/50 pages; output up to 500,000 characters.
  • This is not OCR. Reading order, spacing and characters depend on original encoding and fonts.
