Barcode generator

Generate Code 128 and EAN-13 barcodes with a preview and PNG download. Adjust bars and labels with EAN-13 check digit validation.

Code 128: 1–80 printable ASCII characters. EAN-13: 13 digits with a valid checksum. Creating a code does not assign a GTIN or register a product.

What this tool does

Create test labels with a white quiet zone and high-contrast bars. EAN-13 checks its checksum, but does not verify GTIN ownership or grant commercial registration.

How to use it

  1. Select Code 128 or EAN-13 and enter compatible content.
  2. Adjust module width, height and label, then generate the preview.
  3. Download the PNG and test reading it at its actual print size.

Verifiable example

Input
EAN-13: 4006381333931.
Expected result
A valid barcode; 4006381333932 is rejected for an invalid checksum.

Limitations to review

  • Code 128: 1–80 printable ASCII characters. EAN-13 requires exactly 13 digits.
  • Module width 1–3 px and bars 40–200 px tall. Physical readability depends on printing, size and scanner.
