What it does
Recover text from a QR screenshot or image. Contents are displayed as text even when they resemble HTML or instructions; recognized URLs are identified without visiting them.
When to use it
Use this workflow when the example below matches your task and the documented limits fit your input. Keep the original and review the output before sharing it.
Steps
- Select a static image containing a complete, readable QR.
- Select Read QR; review the decoded text and its origin.
- Copy only if you trust the contents, or reset to clear them.
Worked example
QR containing Hello, Ecuador 🌎.
The same Unicode text, without navigation or execution.
Common mistakes and limitations
- Up to 5 MiB, 8 MP and 4096 px per side; one QR per operation.
- Not an antivirus. Blur, cropping or low contrast may prevent decoding.
